DESCRIPTION:Workshop Information: This Watercolor Workshop is a course designed for beginner and intermediate artists wishing to explore and improve watercolor painting techniques. This course starts with the basics and progresses gradually to more complex subjects and concepts. A variety of concepts\, subjects\, application techniques\, and forms of watercolor are explored providing the learner with a complete exposure to this medium. We will explore a variety of texture applications and how to manipulate the flow of watercolor to create an organic and detailed feel to your pieces. \n \nAbout the Artist: Liz McKinnon is a triad artist in the heart of North Carolina. She is inspired by the whimsy of nature and the stories it provokes.  Her gallery space is located in Vida Pour Tea on State Street in Greensboro.  Her art captures the duality of nature in its scientifically natural state and its ability to inspire whole new worlds. Her work revolves around bold women with their own folklore. Her personal artwork mediums are watercolor and ink\, this combination creates a contrast between the soft flow of watercolor and the emphasis of strong\, clean line work.  She uses bold\, vibrant colors instead of the classic soft pastel colors commonly found in watercolors. \nSupply List  (this has a variety of options varying in price range.)
